In this post, I asked “what do you see”.

I see a girl numbed by grief in the first few pictures. A half smile. Barely breathing.

Then, slowly, slowly, slowly, she starts the smile again.

  1. that was my guess.
I noticed the smile get bigger and bigger 🙂

  2. Erica, you are so special and I’m so glad to know you. I am so touched by the things you share. You may not realize it now, but someday I hope you do… you are a teacher and a vehicle of light for others. Sometimes I think that’s why people are burdened with such grief… when they can reach beyond it to find G-d, hope and joy again, it shines from them. Even in your grief, you are beautiful. I feel blessed to recognize the love that flows through you from your pictures, and mostly, to see G-d in the love shared by you and HeeJun. I wish I had known him in person, but having not had that opportunity, I am still glad he was here and that you had each other. I see the growing light that comes with each day of healing, and I am so grateful that the pain of loss, although never totally gone, is giving way to your understanding that the connection and love never ends. THAT is the lesson of a love like yours, at the level of soul. No body takes that with it when it ceases… it’s eternal, and it’s without jealousy or limitations. You will love again, and you will always love HeeJun. Thank G-d that happiness is returning to your heart. And, thank you for your openness… you have definitely added light to my path and experiences by sharing yours. xoxo ~Iris
