The first time I met April was during greeting time at Rocky River Community Church. I remember thinking she seemed so genuine and kind. We only introduced ourselves briefly and waved to each other a few more times after that meeting. After HeeJun died, she sent me the most beautiful card. She barely knew me, but she cared.

We became fast friends after that. Her heart is overflowing with Christ’s love.

I just think it’s so neat how God works. April’s husband, Brandon will be officiating our wedding. How cool is that?

Moral of the story: Send cards. You never know how much they mean to someone.

Surprise shower

My sister and the Rubberband gang surprised me with a lingerie shower. They totally got me!

My sister told me we were going to pick up her friend and go to the movies. She told me this long story about her new friend. Her navigation system took us right next door to Ninja Nicole’s house. I was so excited! “You’re friend lives right next door to Nicole!” I texted Nicole and told her and asked if we could come say hello. I still had no idea that friends were waiting to surprise me behind the door. UNTIL Brittany told me to get my purse. “Why do I need my purse if we are just running in? OH!” Then I got it! I laughed all the way to the door!

I love my friends! What a perfect surprise! It was so much fun to be around them and celebrate getting to have SEX again! Woo hoo! We had some tears, realizing where we all were a year ago and imagining what it will be like in another year.

Lingerie and babies. Which comes first? (and yes, we have panties on our heads!)
