The Healing Process for Me.

Band-Aids:

  • Friends calling during the evening, bringing food, making sure I got out of the house.
  • Scrapbooking
  • Journaling
  • Exercising and going for walks
  • Eating lots of ice cream!
  • Taking a month off of work
  • Music! Blaring Tenth Avenue North, Kirk Franklin and Single Ladies!
  • Having a Hope Chest to put HeeJun’s things in.
  • Visiting the grave.

Neosporin:

  • The Rubber Band Gang who applied as much loving, kindness and compassion to my wounds as humanly possible.
  • Old childhood friends. New friends.
  • Widow support groups
  • Therapy
  • Meds
  • Going back to work.
  • Getting Juneau the dog!
  • Getting Moorea the puppy!

Stitches:

  • My family’s support and understanding.
  • My sister moving in with me.
  • Falling in love.

The Great Doctor who orchestrated all of the healing: Jesus Christ!

(I know, super cheesy…yet, super true. )
